Green Stone Engineering was founded in March 2004 with its main office located in Wilmington, Delaware and a branch office in Georgetown, Delaware. Green Stone was established as a civil engineering consulting firm specializing in water resources design.
In just under five years, Green Stone has grown from 2 to 16 employees and now provides a full range of water resources engineering and civil site design services. Since its inception, Green Stone has provided design and construction management/review services for approximately 150 municipal/public and private greenway trail, drainage, stream stabilization, ecological restoration, water and wastewater projects. Bruce W. Jones, PE – Managing Principal Bruce Jones has over 20 years of experience in water resources and civil engineering construction projects in the public and private sector. He started his engineering career with an international water resources consulting firm. During this time he served as a designer on several water resources projects in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Jones joined the public sector for six years first as manager in New Castle County, Delaware and then as a Program Manager for Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s Division of Soil and Water Conservation. Mr. Jones founded Green Stone Engineering in 2004 and is now Managing Principal of that firm. Mr. Jones’ diverse project background combined with his public sector experience provides him with a unique understanding of the technical, environmental, economic and political aspects of public and private sector projects. |
